We gotta give the February Artist of the Month to Funky Spoon. I know, I know, they just got it a couple months ago, but the creative growth they have shown since their debut, Goin' Viral, is undeniable. The College Raps are extremely excited to hear what their sophomore release, Droppin' A Deuce will offer. Hopefully we can hear a few more tracks very, very soon. January 2010

The College Raps has gotten a lot of positive feedback and demand for 4H Babes. Therefore, the January Artist of the Month will be 4H Babes. Growing up in Barrington, Illinois you obviously have to be hardcore to survive. Its not easy driving a BMW or a Mercedes to your surburban house every single day. Instead of lashing out with violence or drug abuse, we turned to a positive outlet for our anger and disgust at society. I mean don't get us wrong, we still used drugs and drank heavily everynight but we also rapped. And we rapped hardcore. We're fresh, raw, young and musical geniuses I guess you could say. 4H Babes artist Dudy has even appeared on the Funky Spoon album, Goin' Viral. We hope to hear more soon.

The December Artist of the Month is Fresh Vibe. There are four major artist in our group. D king, Boss, Nique, and Cre. Cre is an artist but he is also our producer. everything you will hear from us is all his creations from his persnal genius. we are all from kalamazoo, born and raised. we also have a soulful singer by the name of A.Hicks. she adds a R&B flavor from the ladies point of view. with the voice of an angel. We coming to hit the world from all sides not just hip hop but also the soul field. Music is in all of us and we are going to be heard one way or another. so you can ride with us or get ran over and left in the dust....Fresh Vibe Music

November 2009

This month's Artist of the Month is Funky Spoon. The Funky Spoon started as a part time hobby of three college students at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. D Funky began as the man behind the lyrics writing the majority of the songs, T Spoon is the producer and also appears in several of the tracks, and Foster supplied a verse or two, as well as the album cover design. Hoes 4 Sho was the original track recorded and sparked the creative genius needed to record the debut, 12 track album Goin' Viral. The album also features several guest spots from local artists Dudy and BTPU. Goin' Viral was released at several parties in the Naperville Area as well as DeKalb and was perceived as somewhat of an overnight sensation in the area. The FS crew continues to record and hopes to have a new album sometime late 2010. Check out the debut album from Funky Spoon, Goin' Viral below:
